Prime Day 2021 is gearing up to be a fascinating week. Eight titles, celebrating the diversity of Indian cinema in six languages. They will premiere from July 10-July to 23 July. Let’s have a look at the titles we will enjoy this Prime Day.

Prime Day Specials-July 2021

There is lots of anticipate, and rightly so. The first three days, feature immersive performative experiences by Billie Eilish, H.E.R., and Kid Cudi. They will reveal notions of music, race, and also existential themes in their performances.

Tom & Jerry-July 10

We grew up with this due, the classic cartoon series we have known and loved is back with a bang. The legendary rivals battle it out in New York at the wedding of the century. An ode to the classic series for Gen Z and millennials. This one will bring in the nostalgia.

Malik- July 15

Mahesh Narayanan’s Malik is putting Malayalam cinema’s finest Fahadh Fassil, in a yet a morally dubious role. Fassil plays Sulaiman, a leader who has unconditional loyalty, and seeks to overthrow the authoritarian powers. But in the spanner is his estranged nephew Freddy who seeks to eliminate him. This movie promises to keep you at the edge of the seat.

Toofaan- July 16

Farhan Akhtar, is starring in yet another sports drama of a boxer who seeks to rise above his situation. Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, is back with a story that combines romance and sports to reveal deeper societal evils in India. This one will make you think.

Ikkat – July 21

This is full of heart-warming humour, set in Covid-19 pandemic, this comedy follows a family. Bhoomi Shetty and Naghabhshana, the movie will delight us all.

Sarpatta Parambarai- July 22

Yet another sports drama but set in Madras in 1970’s. Pa Ranjith’s movie takes an incisive looking at the boxing culture and political dilemmas during that period. It pits two families of athletes against one and another. This movie is going to give actor Arya a long-awaited comeback.

Hostel Daze Season 2 July 23

The boys are back ! The four lovable students and their life and times in an engineering times, will take viewers back to their own college days.

Judas & Black Messiah July 25

A biographical film, which pits an FBI Informant with a charismatic Black Panther Party leader. Informant O’Neal enters a biblical battle for his soul, in this wrenching drama. The movie delves aptly into this issue.

So, our weekends are set with these exciting movies ! Amazon has really curated content that would keep us entertained.
