Arunita shares her Indian Idol journey experience
Question – Indian Idol season 12 is going to be the biggest and grand finale ever. This is the first in many cases. How excited or nervous do you feel about this?
Answer – First of all, I am thrilled that Indian Idol season 12 has become the longest-running reality show ever, and now it will have a 12-hour finale. This is the first season in which something like this is happening. There will be strong acts, performances, special guests and lots of surprises. I also have some acts in it, and I am working hard day and night to give a power-packed performance to the audience. I am eagerly waiting for the finale of this season.

Question – How is your preparation going as one of the top 6 finalists of the show, and how is it different from others?
Answer – Being a part of the Top 6 is really a big deal for me. I make sure that I do my riyaz every day and pick up the notes correctly. To understand any tune deeply, I sit with my mentors, always trying to add something new to my songs. No action, naughtiness, or anything. We all practice together and encourage each other to do better.

Question – Did you think that you will reach this far? Can you tell us about your journey from your hometown to the iconic stage of Indian Idol?
Answer – I expected it inside. It is an honor for me to come this far. This season saw some great talent, and congratulations to Indian Idol for finding so many talented supporting contestants on the show. This forum has given me so much that I cannot describe it in words. This journey was very memorable for me, and I could not have asked for more.

Question – Tell us about some of your best moments in Indian Idol 12?
Answer – My experience in Indian Idol 12 was amazing. Many special guests came to this show, who gave us their blessings. These moments are extraordinary for me. If I want to mention a few moments here, they are definitely performing in front of AR Rahman sir for the first time, being invited to the Dharma family, getting a recording contract from Bappi Da, and the list getting and bigger. I don’t know when it will stop as there have been so many memorable and grand moments in this show.

We have come a long way…
Question – You and Pawandeep are very close friends, and you have caught the attention of many people? What do you have to say about this?
Answer – Yes, we are excellent friends, and we will always be like this. I thank everyone for giving so much love and appreciation to both of us. We have come a long way and will always support each other.

Question – From being a simple girl to becoming a popular contestant, Indian Idol has given you a name and fame. What are your views on this?
Answer – As I mentioned earlier, if I start thanking Indian Idol 12 for all this platform has given me, words will fall short. All my dreams and aspirations seem to be fulfilled because of this prestigious platform. I express my gratitude and respect to every member of Indian Idol who gave me a platform and my fellow contestants to showcase their talent. Thank you, Indian Idol 12.

Question – You are a talented singer who dreams of opening a music school. Will you make your dream a reality after Indian Idol?
Answer – Yes, absolutely. As far as I can remember, my goal has been to open a music school. After this, I want to do so much work that I can fulfill this goal, but I will definitely open a music school for the children of India.

Question – You have made a fashion statement with your looks. What do you feel about this?
Answer – I am thankful to the costume designer who worked so hard to make me look like this. He sits and thinks and designs clothes according to my personality. It took a lot of time and effort to create costumes for all of us. It is the result of his hard work that people find my dresses interesting.
