Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles, the famed light novel has been adapted in a cracking new anime series. The series which has released recently has drummed up a lot of audience interest, and has made for some incredible response. Seirei Gensouki Episode 4 will release on July 26, 2021. Crunchyroll will simulcast the episode as and when it airs in Japan. This light novel which has elements of re-incarnation and harem has rave reviews.

The story of Seirei Gensouki deals with two people from two different worlds. Amakawa Haruto tragically dies young before reuniting with his childhood friend. His soul is transferred into Rio, who lives in another world. Rio’s body begins to have two souls his own and Haruto’s. A tale of revenge, and also for the quest for love and power.

• Rio is in danger because it seems someone is out to get him. The titular assassin is on a mission to end our hero.
• Rio is ready to leave the academy. A place where he was derided and mistreated by one and all.
• He has plans to go to the Yagumo region.
• Rio cannot cast magical spells his mysterious power is a bit more complex. He can control the flow of magic, and this sets him apart.
• It seems Rio isn’t bound by any form of elemental magic. He can cast several magical spells without any limits. The beginnings of his power have been laid out in the anime, eagle eyed viewers would notice this limitless magic will aid him in his rise.
• Rio also has created bonds with two female leads Celia and princess Flora both of whom owe him much for his efforts

Seiren Gensouki Light novel vs Anime

The anime is very close to the plot of the light novel. Rio has kept Haruto aside in the anime the difference is more strongly emphasized with Haruto appearing as a ghostly fragment. The opening theme also reveals a few things there are a lot of reincarnates waiting for their turn. Let’s wait and watch how the anime series adapts the light novel to the big screen.
