Indian Idol Season 12 has been on a roll. The season has had the fair share of being in the news for controversial as well as for good reasons. According to most reports, this season unanimously has the highest TRPs. The show is heading to its finale which is estimated to be on the August 15th, and the showrunners are going above and beyond. Indian Idol Season 12 is maintaining a consistent retro theme, with judges who are actors from the past few years.
This week is going to have a very special guest Randhir Kapoor will be entering the dais for the first time. From sharing anecdotes of his family, and his long career. His enthusiasm and charisma have made him one of the top-notch guests of this season. Other guests include singers Kumar Sanu and Kavita Krishnamurthy who will also be a part of the festivities.

It is also titled Friendship Special, the Top 6 contestants are bringing their best. The Top 6 are:

Amongst them, it was Arunita’s performance which made Randhir Kapoor visibly excited. She sang, ‘Ek Radha ek Meera’, and the actor shares some anecdotes in relation the song. He also revealed that to him Arunita is this generation’s Lata. A fitting compliment to a wonderful contestant.
Other contestants have also made a mark as the promos revealed. But the show was stolen by a single little gesture. Taimur Ali Khan had a special gift for his grandfather. In a note, shared on the show he had written, ‘ I love you Nana, Take care’. There was not a dry-eye in sight and everyone agreed that this gesture was too beautiful.

Though the show goes in, we are in the finale. Eliminations will be swift and precise now. Last week, a strange event took place Idol Pawandeep forgot his lines while singing, and singer Arunita had to help him. This was widely criticized and many netizens see this as a move to pull down this talented contestant. According to reports, this year’s idol will be a female contestant. Amongst the three, most reports Arunita as the most likely Idol Winner.
